Facebook ads expand the secret to how to create an effective lookalike audience
Facebook provides users with three ways to target their audience: core audience, custom audience, and lookalike audience. The importance of lookalike audiences must be known to everyone, and we use the custom audiences we've generated to create lookalike audiences that are similar to existing customers, so that you can reach new people who might be interested in your business because they're similar to your existing premium customers. The same or similar traits can be found in region, age, gender, interests, behaviors, and so on, and by reaching a lookalike audience, you can reach new people who might be interested in your business. So today Xiao Black will show you how to create a lookalike audience.
01. Precautions
When you create a lookalike audience, you need to select a source audience (a set of custom audiences, created based on pixel data, mobile app data, or Page fan data), and the same characteristics of the user (ex: demographics or interests) are recognized. The system will then look for people with similar characteristics to them.
You can choose the size of your lookalike audience during the creation process. The smaller the audience size, the better the match to the source audience. Creating a larger audience increases potential reach, but reduces the similarity between the lookalike audience and the source audience. Typically, Facebook recommends a feed audience of between 1,000 and 50,000 people. In addition, the quality of the source audience is important. For example, a source audience made up of the highest quality customers produces a higher quality lookalike audience than a source audience of all customers.
Additional information:
When you create a lookalike audience, you can also consider the following information.
Your lookalike audience will only include users from one or more countries selected when you created it.
The source audience must contain at least 100 users from a single country so that Facebook can create a lookalike audience based on this.
Depending on a set of source audiences, you can create up to 500 lookalike audiences.
Lookalike audiences exclude source audience users unless you use pixels as the source audience.
You can use multiple lookalike audiences in one ad group at the same time. Ad groups target ads to people in any selected lookalike audience.
