Amazon Prime Day will have sales of nearly $10 billion

Saudi Arabia protects consumer rights by publishing a campaign to fight fraud
A spokesman for the Saudi Ministry of Commerce said a new electronic app would now protect consumers from counterfeit and illegal discounts and promotions.
The app will also let consumers check to see if the discounted sale is still valid and available. If the discount has lapsed but is still advertising, consumers can report the violation directly to the government.
Spokesman Abdulrahman Al-Hussain said companies offering discounts must follow certain procedures. He said they must apply for a license to mention discounted products, provide a list of product prices before and after the discount, give a percentage of the discount, and mark the price before and after the price tag.
The e-discount app also lists companies that offer discount licenses and describes the types of discounts licensed by government agencies that can be accessed on smartphones.

TMO Group reports that online sales of sellers in Southeast Asia increased by at least 50% year-on-year from March to May
